Salbutamol is used for the treatment of asthma by reducing the symptoms (tight chest, wheezing and coughing) and preventing the attack, as well as for chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the airways) and emphysema (disease of the lungs that makes breathing difficult). It also reduces the symptoms caused by different allergens.
Salbutamol is not suitable for everyone. Do not use it

This medicine is available in form of syrup and tablet.
You should take salbutamol exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose for syrup:
The usual dose for tablet in adults is 4 mg 3 or 4 times a day. The maximum dose is 8 mg 3 or 4 times a day. The usual dose for children is 1 to 2 mg 3 or 4 times a day.
Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.
