This medicine contains the active ingredients: 6000IU/mL of retinol and 2000IU/mL of cholecalciferol. Cholecalciferol is a biologically active form of vitamin D. Vitamin D is very important for maintaining health of our bones and teeth, and it regulates the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body. Most common disturbance in the body’s calcium levels comes from kidney disorders, disorders of the parathyroid glands, low blood calcium. Cholecalciferol takes calcium from food and helps with strengthening and growth of the bones. It is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency, and some conditions that cause problems with the bones. Retinol (Vitamin A) is essential for the regeneration of the visual pigment of the retina and for the normal structure of the upper layer of the skin and mucous membrane. Vitamin A deficiency leads to night blindness, excessive thickening of the skin and changes in the mucous membrane, which consequently becomes less resistant to infections. This medicine is prescribed for the prevention of vitamin A and vitamin D deficiency in infants and small children.[...]
