etofenamate (M02AA06)

This medicine contains 5 % of the active ingredient etofenamate which is also called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or just 'anti-inflammatory'. NSAIDs are used to ease pain, stiffness and inflammation of conditions that affect muscles, bones and joints. This gel is used for additional external symptomatic treatment of so-called blunt traumas, such as bruises, strains and sprains, as a result of sports or daily activities, which are usually accompanied by pain, swelling, and occasionally bruising.
