This medicine contains the active ingredient diclofenac which is also called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or just 'anti-inflammatory'. NSAIDs are used to ease pain, stiffness and inflammation of conditions that affect muscles, bones and joints. Diclofenac is also used to reduce pain, inflammation and swelling in the injuries of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, for example sprains, strains, contusions, back pain (sports injuries); for localized forms of soft tissue rheumatism: tendinitis (inflammation of the tendons, eg. Tennis elbow), bursitis, shoulder-arm syndrome and periarthritis (joint disease); for moderate forms of arthritis (inflammation of the joints) of the knees or fingers. Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Do not apply two doses together if you miss a dose.
